Screw type, vertical heavy take-up type, heavy take-up car-type (?)and fixed winch type are the most commonly used types of conveyors.
The screw take-up is generally placed on the tail frame of the belt conveyor, and the tail pulley is used as the tension pulley. When the head pulley is used as the tension pulley, the screw tension device is placed on the head frame. It is suitable for the conveyor with short length and small power. The tension stroke can be selected according to 1% ~ 1.5% of the length of the conveyor. There are three types of screw tightening stroke: 500, 800 and 1000mm.
The vertical gravity take-up can be arranged by using the space position of conveyor corridor. The extension of conveyor belt can be automatically compensated by gravity with the change of tension. Each 15kg iron block is installed in the heavy weight box to adjust the tension. The heavy weight tension device is arranged in the lower space or tail space of the belt conveyor, with compact layout. It is suitable for the belt conveyor with a length of more than 50m, which is widely used in the workshop or the belt conveyor with a small length. This type of tensioning device shall be preferred.
The tail pulley is used as the tension pulley, and the heavy-duty trolley arranged on the inclined line is used for tension. It is suitable for the environment conditions with large inclination angle and space unable to arrange the heavy weight tension, such as the belt conveyor with inclined upward conveying in the mine. Suitable for long distance and high power conveyor. A heavy weight tower is added to increase the tension stroke. There are two, three and four-meter tension stroke levels.
The fixed winch tension device is realized by adjusting the tension force of the tension drum through the electric winch. The electric winch is connected with the tension trolley of the tension pulley through the pulley block, and the tension force value is adjusted by the display of the force measuring sensor. It is used for belt conveyor with large stroke, large tension force (30-150kn), long distance and large capacity. The maximum tension stroke can reach 17m.
Hydraulic take-up, tensioning device
The tensioning device shall be arranged at the position with the minimum tension of the conveyor belt as far as possible, and shall be close to the driving pulley as far as possible and convenient for maintenance. When determining the tensioning force, in addition to normal operation, the starting (braking) and no-load empty payload conditions shall be considered. The tension stroke is calculated according to the elongation provided by the sample from the conveyor belt manufacturer. Then consider the length of the joint and the additional length required for the installation conditions.
